Apparently Ireland is ‘International’ on an Irish site… I wonder if Dermot Ahern knows we’re not in the EU anymore? I wonder how the owners of shopireland.ie feel about their business being impacted by Amazon’s unilateral decision?
I think Amazon views any country outside the UK as "international". If the Shop Ireland site gave the impression that we viewed Ireland as international, then I do apologise for any confusion. The message on the site is based on Amazon's perspective, as they won't ship these items anywhere outside the UK.

How do we feel about Amazon's unilateral decision? We feel very angry indeed! I've heard that this may be something to do with the WEEE recycling laws, in which case I do hope that they sort something out and resume service. We have a page about it here, which we will try to keep up to date as we receive information:

[...] In other news, Amazon.co.uk have turned all mean. I’ve never really liked shopping there as we never get any postage discounts, but every now and then I’d be willing to fork out the extra dosh for something. Only now they’re starting to reduce what they’ll let us buy, as Michele Neylon points out Games, Electronics, and Gift items will no longer be shipped to the Republic. Which is odd, don’t you think. Still, I prefer Play anyway. They have free shipping and have a pretty good selection of stock. The discussion on Amazon can also be found on DOB-blog and Tuppenceworth, where the legal aspects are also being discussed var blogTool = "WordPress"; var blogURL = "http://prettycunning.net/blog"; var blogTitle = "Pretty Cunning"; var postURL = "http://prettycunning.net/blog/2006/upon-his-knee-a-pretty-wench-and-on-the-table-a-jug-of-punch/"; var postTitle = "Upon his knee a pretty wench And on the table a jug of punch"; var commentAuthorFieldName = "author"; var commentAuthorLoggedIn = false; var commentFormID = "commentform"; var commentTextFieldName = "comment"; var commentButtonName = "submit"; var cocomment_force = false; [...]
