I suspect something stronger than catnip involved in this one… without a clear strategy for how the information will be collected and managed to ensure accuracy this will be une grosse élephant blanc qui sont plein de mérde.

Hopefully it will go the way of the last call to do this a few years ago… lots of noise and then it disappeared. However the increased publicity around the use of phones in high profile trials might counteract common sense.

I wonder what the bods and boffins over in Digital Rights Ireland think about this one?
